Smile Found new site to hunt and need advice

Hi, today I just got permission to hunt a huge field. I found this site by using the advice I received here in this forum regarding finding campsites. I google earthed a place near my house that has one big creek and one smaller creek that meet. The farmer that owns it said that he has found many arrowheads here and told me the general area to look. Well this field is really big and I am totally new to field hunting. The total area must be over 200 acres and every rise in elevation has just an enormous amount of flint on it. I was very overwhelmed to say the least, I felt dizzy. I have a feeling that this will be a very productive site but I not sure how to approach hunting it. I basicly walked around the field like a chicken with its head cut off looking at every piece of flint I saw (which was a lot). I now know that there is a difference between a knapping area and a camp area, so does that mean that where ever there is a whole lot of flint that its a knapping area? Basicly my question is how should I approach hunting this field? Any tips or advice would be appreciated very much. Also Thanks to everyone for your advice on how to go about finding a site, it was very helpful and I dont think I would have found this field on my own. Thanks, Doug

I start at one end of the field and walk it one end to the other back and fourth so I cover it all. walk slow cuz you can miss stuff if you go too fast. I like to hunt mid day if cool enough. That way I got the sun up over me. After a good rain is also a good time to go because it will wash away dirt and leave points sittin on top. Have fun and post pics. Don't forget the water!
