Flint types

Hey all.

How could I start learning about the various flint types in the Kentucky area? Any good websites?

Here's a pretty good place to start.

Lithnics Material Types

There's a huge variety of different lithics in Ky. I'm sure you could get alot of help here by simply posting materials for I.d.

Buy the book DrDave listed above. It is the Bible for flint and chert types of the Midwest.

On that note do you guys know of a similar publication on plains and northern plains material? I know of some by experience but I know there are a lot more.
