West Texas question

I have a chance to hunt a property around
Dryden Tx (west of Del Rio) and was wondering
if any one knows anything about the area
The owner doesn't hunt for arrowheads,
but has found a few. I will have to pay
a little bit to hunt it and didn't know
what to expect of this area before I drive
three hours to check it out

Tough country, for sure, 66. Shelters are self explanatory, if present. Don't waste time on the ubiquitous ring midddens (aka: sotol processing stations). They just fail to produce much. Look for evidence around the heads of headers, leading into brushy ravines. Or terraces above old wet-weather dry creek. Life was always tough there, but the vegetation was relatively high in protien. Try to look in areas where two micro-biotic zones converge.

Thanks for the reply

I have never been out to this area before
and didn't know if there was much Indian
occupation in that area and if people
typicaly find much. The property does have
have a dry creek according to the owner
