Chance Savannah River find

I was hunting points in a dry lake bed several years ago and found the large base of a Savannah River. Long story short I walked maybe 30 yards further and found the matching tip! I think I know how the guy broke it. He might have been trying to get the large "Bugger" of a stacked hinge fracture off a leading edge. I circled it, let me know if you agree??...lol First time I'd found both halves same day!

Interesting piece, nice find. I would have to agree that the stacked area led to the break. The ancient knapper probably applied too much force to thin that area and it broke, jmo. Seems like 9 times out of 10 those big Sav Rivers are broken around here.

The points pieced back together is great the pieces should always be found by the same person. I would call it a Killer!
