DIY SS Pick...

My wife bought a stainless steel "Revlon" cuticle trimmer/cleaner a few weeks ago and I have been wanting to "repurpose" one for my own needs . Picked one up at the grocery store yesterday for $6.00...

Ground the cuticle trimmer off, sanded off the Revlon branding and viola! Little ergonomic pick for getting artifacts/stone out of hard caked soil. Yeah yeah, I know, a screwdriver for $1.00 at a local hardware store will work just as well... kind of a pocket tool junkie, Ghost knows what I mean *cough* Atwood.

I must say though, it's rugged... and fits well in hand...

I field hunt about 95% of the time... this soil gets really hard once it settles. I usually have to pop out stones from the ground in the summer hence this will be perfect for my needs.

Might even dip the base in that stuff they sell for redoing plyer handles (like a soft plastic coating).

Nice, me likes, looks like it would fit well into the end of a flipping stick / broom handle with some minor adjustments.

I've used my Atwood prybaby on many occasions to pry out a piece of chert frozen into the ground, hundreds of uses with that little tool. I'm a multitool / gadget / knives addict myself, there's no cure.

Speaking of Atwoods here's three I own, Ghoul, Prybaby, Hexbaby, from left to right.
