Locating Campsites from above

A while back I ran across a thread on looking for signs of campsites from google earth. This article was linked: The Kanawha Valley and its Prehistoric People

I was going to take a hike tomorrow and noticed this grassland in the area, it has high elevation, a couple dry stream beds running through it and this 100ft hill with what appears to be a "donut shape" on the very top. Would this be a good place to look or should I not waste my time?

I'm in northern Colorado, and would love to start hunting again. I read that there were many natives that hunted and lived in the area.

The creekbeds and elevation sound promising. You should definately look. I would walk those creekbeds and see if anything has washed down the hill over the years.

GOOD LUCK!

I went today and what do you know? The trail is closed due to wildfires! I swear, every attempt of mine to get out of my house and into the mountains is thwarted
