Found some cool artifacts!

I was 11 years old when I found this place in the valley in northern california. I have never taken anything from there but I see now that alot of people have walked off with the mortars and other stuff that used to be layin around. But there is still some stuff left so here are the pictures! This is one of the first times I have been there and all the tall weeds were cleared away and you could actually see everything and take pictures. I wish I could have taken pictures years ago when there were mortars and pestles all over the place !

Sure is Dennis

I used to live in vacaville when I was a kid. and I would ride my bike from vacaville to fairfield through that park. I remember when all the kids used to be playing on the water slides and I would be out there looking at the indian stuff in the weeds lol . I sure would like to walk that creek!

Absolutly amazing

I find it astonishing that in the midst of huge cities in california there are still remnants of Native America still sitting where they sat 1000 years ago ! I need to do some more research on that site I would like to know alot more about it. It has always captured my intrest but more now that Im more into hunting.

Sure. Probably one of the biggest habitation sites in the northeast is now Pittsburgh.

They liked the same places we do.

All KINDS of stuff turns up in Austin, Texas. For the same reason.

Hey, here in the S.F. east bay, there are quite a few bedrock mortar sites that can be found with the help of this site:
Native American Indian Sites In the East Bay Hills
I've checked out some of these. Pretty cool.
