This one looks similar to mine, minus the camera, which I wish I had.
SUPER WIDEFIELD STEREO MICROSCOPE 20X-40X + 3MP CAMERA | eBay I think it is the same with a different brand name stuck on it. I have been very happy with it. I did not find an integral light that I liked so I use a bendable quartz desk lamp. But it helps to look with different light sources to get a different type of look. They are probably like anything else, you get what you pay for, but I have been happy with a $350 investment, 15 years ago. It really adds another fun dimension to enjoying and learning about artifacts and materials. |

I use a Wild M3Z binocular microscope. It is pretty neat to see really fine work, polishing marks, all kinds of surprises.
The microscope was originally commissioned by Audio Technica to be used to evaluate the wear on phono cartridge styli. You young'uns probably have no idea what I am talking about. No question: I am getting old. |
