Question What is Grubbing?

I have heard a lot of people that walk creeks and rivers talking about grubbing and I am not exactly sure what they are talking about? If anyone out there knows I would appreciate the explanation. Thanks

It is generally done in the water in creeks or along lakeshores where there is a high ratio of campsite debris and flint chips. You feel along the bottom for rocks and flakes and bring them up where you can see them. Sometimes done with a small, hand-held screen, sometimes just with the bare hands. It is the BEST way to hunt for points on a hundred degree Texas day!

Around L.A. Grubbing refers to going out and eating a lot of Food.. Like going to Pink's and wolfing down 2 Chili dogs and a side of Chili Cheese fries.. while guzzling a big glass of Milk..... Pure gastronomical Delight!!!!

But somehow I doubt that is the definition you were looking for...

Grubbin pics

Probably my most favorite and surreal way to find an artifact (using my hands/fingers),,, When I'm not using my hands,, I sift through loose sediments within creeks. Here's some pics to give you an idea,,, of how I do it, anyway.
