Real Insitu?

Hello Arrowheadology Folks, I posted this point a few monts back using another user account but wanted to share it again to ask if it looks like a real insitu shot to you all. Only "hint" is we had hard rain at a field. If You think its fake thats ok or if you think its real thats ok too just curious what people think about these pics I took.

It would be hard to imagine that little jagged clump of dirt sitting up on the base if there had been a hard rain. Other than that I would guess it to be removed and replaced to take the pic. The serrated edge does look pretty "fresh".

I would think it would be harder to fake a point than to fake an insitu. Don't get me wrong, I love insitus, but I've never seen one that changed my opinion of real vs fake. A COA might change my mind or make me take a chance on a piece, direct feedback from collectors I know and respect has absolutely changed my mind, but an insitu... never.

Some insitus would be hard to fake. This is a large tree root growing through a large pot.

Some would be easy, this is a little celt laying fully exposed on a flat terrace.

Here is an insitu I wouldn't believe if I didn't find it myself. A little piece of pottery that eroded out of a cutbank and rolled down hill. I caught it between rains. It was just laying out like someone dug it and just put it aside.

Very Neat Pics Josh! Well, my point and field insitu are Authentic. I never touched the point before the inhand pics. It had been dry for about a week before the hard rain that was a short (less than an hour) rain. The insitu looks bogus I know but anything laying in the field would have had mud splashes. What got me is when posting this theres something about the 5:00 position on first pic that looks like a small tip yet its lighter in color than the point Doubtful thats the long ago lost tip. Thanks for replies.

The piece is sooooo translucent that the moss had grown under it and glued it to the ground.Prolly the only reason I found the tip as well.
