Another Tooth ID & my Frame

Figured I would take a pic of my frame too but using poor light so couldnt tell it was off angle. Anyway I think this tooth I found in east central MO is A Bison tooth not sure though.

Sorry if I should have posted in WITW truth is I found the tooth while Hunting Arrowheads though.

Horse or Bison tooth maybe? Hope you get a positive i.d. though. I collect them and have a couple frames worth of 'em. Cool find!

LOL,,,Maybe since you are showing a frame, it becomes something a lil more than just WITW. Becomes a nice lil show for AH&C. Hey, you got a new camera, let's see a few close-ups of some in the frame!

bison tooth yes

from the length of the metaconid, the wear pattern, the lack of a style this tooth appears to be from a 5-6 year old bison this is m2 2nd permanent molar


the top view picture is very good for acessing type and age.

That's cool to know!

That camera is working great,, Those points and pictures are impressive! Really shows the flaking detail and polish. However, like my camera, it seems like it's lacking true color. I say that because I've seen that colorful blade in person and it's way more impressive and colorful. Thanks for the close-ups! Jason
