My first finds for 2012

I had to take advantage of the almost 60 degree weather yesterday and go check out a few of my spots. Its not very often that I get a chance to hunt rocks the first week of January here in Northern Nebraska..
First pic is a knife/tool
2nd pic, tip and an base ear missing
3rd pic, man I wish this would have been whole
The knife and bottom pic where found about 30 feet apart in a spot that has just recently been uncovered by the wind. Im excited to see what else comes out of there.Anyhow this is my start to 2012, isn't there an unwritten rule to post your first finds of the new year on the forums no matter how good or bad they are

A great 2012 start there sandhills! The broken base
suggests that you have located a potential paleo site.

I would be monitoring that location on a regular basis.

Sandhills - In this case it is all good. Each of those are all great pieces in their own right. Smokey is right about exciting new potential. Hope to see some more paleo and whatever else coming from you in the new hunt season. So good luck to you on your new site.

Sweet finds! Its been too nice here in Montana as well. On another note I spent some time at Thanksgiving with my Aunt Pat McNitt that has the ranch down in your country (It is on the North Loop, anyway she told me some good spots to hunt so I thought I might head your way sometime next year, so If your interested I could give you a call and we could do some tromping around over on the Loop.
