Thinking about a pay dig

I'm new to the site and new to collecting. I live in NW Louisiana. Me and a buddy were thinking about doing a pay dig, but I'm wondering if they are worth it. I've read all kinds of things about all the various digs and was wondering if anyone had any up to date info about the artifacts coming out of these places. Which would be my best bet? Thanks guys

Starr is fun, and there is the chance of finding something epic there, but the artifacts are sparsely scattered. You can also dig for a whole day and find nothing but tools and a broke or two. At the same time, I don't know any better places to go right now.
