You can also read the text of my bill online - it's designated SB 1516. If it passes, it will go into effect Sept. 1, I believe.

Paleo Joe - I am not going near any COE reservoir anytime soon, I can tell you that. But it is short-sighted and fatuous to prevent surface collecting in order to preserve archeological sites and resources when the reservoir you built on top of the site is destroying it and scattering the relics all up and down the beach. My whole premise, for decades, in promoting this kind of legislation is that DISLOCATED ARTIFACTS NO LONGER CONSTITUTE A VALID ARCHEOLOGICAL RESOURCE and therefore should be open to being collected by the public.
