Hi everyone, I have heard that the Illinois River is a good place to hunt and lately I have been thinking about taking a look. Does anyone have any suggestions on where might be a good place to start? I live in the Quad cities so its not too far a drive to get there. Are the banks of this river able to be walked? The rivers in my area are really wide and do not really have any walkable banks, so I am wondering if the Illinois River is different. If anyone has hunted there before and has some tips or advice I would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance Doug.

Hello
I hunt the Illinois river just about every day. If you want to go hunting shoot me a text or call me and Ill show you around. I have heard you can walk the river but I never have. I wouldnt mind trying it. And if we are lucky maybe we can hit a field somewhere depending on when you come down. I know a couple creeks but I havnt found anything there yet either. I try every few days to walk some local creeks that are close to major campsites.
