KRF Eye Candy
Thought these might be appreciated

Clayton, whether patination occurs or not is dependent on the pH of the soil. The rate of patination is based on acidity level, "flushing" action of water, and heat/warmth. One paleo site that Frison excavated had a creek that bisected the site. Artifacts on one side of the creek were heavily patinated, while pieces of the same age from across the creek weren't patinated at all -- different pH levels.
