And the Miles Roll On.
We have been blessed with very warm temps this year and not much snow (so far) so i have been able to work off some boot leather, which is highly uncommon this time of year in Montana. So I have been Google Earthing and hunting wind blown ridge tops lately. This is the type of hunting that puts on lots and lots of miles for a good point but when you do find one they are usually sweet....so far just some flakes and a broken obsidean birdy. But as the miles roll on the chances get better, Ive always said 100 miles for every good one. Im probably up to 30 so got a ways to go. Thought I would post some country side pics though to help with the cabin fever. Not great quality because of my phone camera, but hope you enjoy none the less.

Absolutely beautiful country you get to hunt in. I think I could easily walk 100 miles there without finding anything but here in Ohio I wouldn't have that much patience without finding much. We don't have scenery like that but 100 miles of walking here will give you a small collection with about 15-20 good ones.

I'm rooting for a darn nice double find for ya, so as to deservedly cut the average in half for you. Some nice country-side that you have to work with there. Thanks, and yes I did enjoy.
We're experiencing the same weather pattern here in Iowa lately too. I actually got out a bit today myself and found a small so-so triangle. My first local December point find ever! Hope yours comes real soon as well.

Right above the Yellowstone River, if you look in the top right of the dead Juniper photo you can see it. Here is another quartzite scraper in situ from today.
