North Texas newbie
Hi,
I just relocated from Pittsburgh back to Keller Texas. I had done a little creek hunting up there with a couple of finds. We have a decent size creek near my neighborhood with public access called Bear creek. I couldnt find any indian history online for the area but did see some along the trinity river near by. Do you think its worth a shot? Should I focus in the creek bed or on the banks that have erosion? Ps If anyone from the area wants to hook up for a hunt shoot me a pm. thanks phil |

Hop in the creek and look over every inch of the gravel bars! That is where the points will wind up! Good luck!

Welcome back to Texas Phil. Not familiar with your exact location. Indie's right but I like erosion lines too. Especially after rain. You'll probably make both areas before long plus lots more. Remember the state will eat you if they catch you hunting points on just about anything except private lands. Scout while you walk- surface hunting just be cool hand luke while looking.Have fun

Keller is a nice place to live. I've been here 6 years now. Never found anything local, but then again I never really looked. Let me know if you find anything!

Keller has really grown in the 3 years I have been gone, but I'm very happy to be back and out of the cold. When I was here before I had a deer lease outside of graham that was surrounded by the brazos river with bluffs and overhangs everywhere. When I was kid I loved looking for arrowheads but just got the bug again while living up north. Im still kicking myself for not looking at the lease.
