DFW Help

My dear sweet mother has decided (insisted) that she would like to join me on one of my artifact hunts. We are looking for a place closer to home for her. She lives in Arlington and travels to Granbury frequently. Is there anywhere along Rush, Johnson, or Johnson Creeks left producing, or perhaps along the Trinity north of town? I heard there was a gentleman in Hood County named Richard that would allow digging on his place. Anyone know if he is still around or how to get ahold of him? We own 65 acres across from Comanche Peak. There hasn't been a point found on the plave in 50 or more years.
Thanks,
Brad

Would you possibly be referring to Richard Chrisner? He lives in Bell co. I believe, just outside of Moody. $40/day, 7 to 7 or dark which ever comes first. Pretty easy to get to.

I am not familiar with your area, but have heard there are some nice places in the Grandbury area. maybe your mother could be good for contacts in that area. Chrisners has been dug for as many years as I have been alive and is still producing.Pm me and I will give you phone #. The Starr Adventure Ranch is the top dog in my opinion but I have only been there once and dont have the neccessary contact information. MidlandMan or rockhound taylor would be of help there. i do know there was a killer langtry found there today along with the usual complete finds and tools out the wazu. good luck with your pursuit, Mothers are great luck.

I've heard that Ten Mile Creek has some nice points in it.

Hit Village and Rush Creeks. Too much human intervention. I did find me a Garmin. It actually works. HAHA!
