Florida River Finds

Found by a friend of mine over the years in Florida rivers. These were all found scuba diving, beautiful pieces, lots made from fossilized coral. These were found before the law that was passed in Florida outlawing artifact hunting.

Amazing frames Johnny, thanks for posting.. Is illegal to hunt artifacts period, or just to dive for them? Paul

Man o man!!!!! Cant believe how beautiful tha collection is! What a shame Florida has such backwards thinking law makers. How could salvaging points lost on the bottom of rivers be bad? This sort of archaeological recovery harms no one and the archaeologist would insist recovery of points from any surface context negates any usefulness in real archaeology at the same time they would snuff at the idea of any one but them having access to the material. I believe in obeying the law but laws like this can only make criminals out of otherwise law abiding citizens! As William S Burroughs said "nobody does more harm than someone who thinks they are doing all the world some good". What an exquisite display of flint!!! Thanks for the look.
