Some good lessons learned from that one. What I have long been envisioning as pressure flakes, may actually in many cases be 'scrunchie' flakes. Either way, still helps to determine an area of a camp where finish type lithic work was probably being done. Nice to see a more-so authentic method of knapping/edge set-up. Am not a knapper myself, but thanks for the insight.

Clovis Technology Videos

Excellent videos George, thanks for posting. This guy has the Clovis overshot technology(Outrepasse Flaking) down pat, and with a hammerstone, nice work. Do you happen to know this knappers name, is it Marty Reuter?

His name is Lucas, from Rolla Mo.I'm sure you have seen his post on Paleo Planet ,,he goes by Goose, he and Marty are super knappers and friends,,,,Marty is on here from time to time.and I think Marty is the one that coined the phrase "scrunching". not sure bout that tho. I just wanted to post this because everyone is always asking "is this a hammerstone" and how did they use it.
