Pretend like you're looking for a button.

I've heard some people say that they pretend like they're looking for a button when rock huntin. Well here is a button. It's red color helped me spot it.

As soon as I saw it I thought of that and had to take a picture.

I find them frequently as well. Best piece of advice I got early on was to focus on things that look out of place or that don't belong there. It's really simple but can be really effective.

I've actually found quite a few of them over the years. Farmer's loosing them, plus settler stuff mixed in. Even find shell ones occasionally.

But none as perty as that one!

I've got a site where an old homestead once stood, the place where I found the Clay Pipe a few weeks back, where I find a lot of old glass buttons. I don't usually take pictures but I do bring them home.
