First Post: best of 2011

Hey yall, here are mine and my father's best finds from this year. My favorites are the adolescent Bovine jaws, the perfect condition Pelican and the black Willow Leaf knife blade...

Also note the weird little clay disc/bead with a hole in the center (2nd picture, bottom left) I havn't seen one exactly like it elsewhere. Some have said that it was common to make beads from old broken pottery, but this one was obviously made from wet clay, as the hole was apparently pushed through when wet.

In the second frame bottom right # 3 and 4 from the right side. If time presents and you wouldn't mind, would love to get close pictures of those

I think you're referring to the spokeshaves. I didn't recognize the tool as a spokeshave until I found the other exactly like it. The dark blue one doesn't have the same fine flaking/edge work that the brown does.

Nice finds what area Montgomery or Polk Co.,TX.
I'm surprised theres no San Patrice, they are usually found with those type tools.
