Clay from the Lower Columbia River.

Here are two pieces of clay that I have come across on the lower part of the river. The one piece looks like a painted piece that you would find near Utah or like one I found in Tx. The others have been called pieces of a basket that was covered in clay and cooked.

These are from a basket that was covred in clay then baked for cooking so I am told. The basket weaveing is what left the lines.
