Unusual Illinois paleo
Dad picked up a couple of pieces from a local collection found near Rapids City, Illinois today. Included was this interesting Pike County looking point. It's made of Avon Chert and measures 3-11/16" long and is paper thin. It's heavily ground along the base and lateral edges. I also attached a pic of the other pieces. The bi-pointed blade is 5-1/2" wide and a couple of Thebes round out the group.
