artifacts i donated to a friends collection
Here are some I dug from kerr co. I gave them to a good friend. Should've held on
to the shell pendant.. nah, its in good hands. The montell was a shame,,, paper thin but fire popped up ..4" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

whats up ryno? so look , i know nothing about knapping except what little i have figured out from reading post here, i never knew things were heat treated , in your post you say , "to bad about the montell it was fire popped ". i dont understand, was it heat treated after it was finished when the fire pop happened ? because it looks finished to me , or was it unfinished then heat treated when it popped? anyone who reads this can answer,

Fire popped means extreme heat, where it effects the molecular level of flint/chert in a bad way! Campfire or brush fire! Heat treating is when they heated up the material enough to make it easier knappable! That's in not-fancy words!!
