cache river hillbilly hand fishin indian camps

Has any one else been watching hillbilly hand fishin? I have been watching this the past few weekends and sa the guys that star in the show take guests to different rivers noodling catfish. Anyways more times than not they go to the cache river and are just walking past the eroded bank looking for catfish holes and point out old indian camps and encourage their clients to use the ashes for war paint (streaks on their faces). Man i could just about come out of my recliner to be in the places they are. It has to be loaded with artifacts getting ignored. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this show and got so excited and kind of erked they are not looking for stuff. but at the same time i think, yea dont look keep it for the collectors that So if you guys are watching that have access you may recognize some places, they have bridges and stuff in the back ground. i have no chanes of getting that far away from the house w/o the kids and wife for an artifact excursion but check it out guys.

Grovestone, just saw your message that you posted a few days ago and wanted to let you know that my family owns the property on Cache Creek that you are referring to. I just got in from spending the day over there and hunted unsuccessfully several hours for artifacts. I recently got interested in hunting & collecting arrowheads and have no idea what I'm doing. I know there has been a ton of artifacts picked up there over the years and every time the creek rises it exposes more campsites. So, I know there is still many artifacts to be found. I'll keep trying.

witchita, I have been lookin pretty often and have come up empty handed alot. I have a spot up the neches that is the best i have found but is very hard to get too. takes a few hours of paddling. I am leaning more towards concentrating on the lake area this spring. i own 2.5 acres near indian creek about 100 yards off old sabine river creek bed (on a high bluff). Cant wait to go do some digging. May be productive. If you know of some good hunting close to my place my ears are open!!! Does your brother live here by me or what?
