Wink Old finds new pics

I found these 2 in The field that my Artifact Attraction started in. It all started when me and a friend were walking in a neighbors field when he reached down and picked up this thing that I had no idea what it was so I ask whats that as hes standing back up with it in hand and he said an Arrowhead here you go you can have it so I stuck it in my pocket then later stuck it in my dresser droor and it sat in it for about 3 years while I went through my terrible teen years until I met a friend or so I thought who was into arrowheads and looking for them though neither of us had found any yet we were really on the hunt whenever we could get together for a hunt we would but one day I had picked up a book and visited Mastodon State park and We came to the conclusion that the "Arrowhead" I had was A Fluted Clovis point, well one of his family members was who introduced him into the activity we call arrowhead hunting so eventually we showed him the 3 1/2 Beautiful Clovis made of a white material that was fluted about half way both sides. Little did I know they were both Shady characters but one day after me and who I thought was a buddy had hunted he asked to go inside to get his socks he left I said sure and remained outside just putting the boat up so he comes out a few minutes later says see ya gets in his car and leaves with that Clovis. He wont own up to it but its been confirmed by his ex who he was with at the time that he traded it to that family member of his that I had previously showed but I already knew it.

So if I didnt Already have The bug I did now to try and get back what I had "Lost" so I walked and walked and walked and eventually came up with these two bases out of the same field after I walked some more. Its funny after about 15 years I have not found a point as nice as the one that was stolen from me that was found by a couple kids just walking and talking in a field. Doesnt make sense one bit I tried though, thing is I am moving away from here and I like my Neighbor and his field I hope to keep searching this area later on, still feel like I am leaving the area behind They never minded before hope they dont mind this Spring. Maybe theres another out there?

Heres The 2 Paleo bases and my favorite pic I took standing in the field and my favorite whole point out of the field (updated pic to come of it soon) as you can see the tall corn doesnt stop me.

Whole enough for me.
Thought I would mention theres not much of a water source as fields in the "hills" about a half mile from the creeks so more of a Hunting area I guess?

Nice pieces! Its a shame that a so called friend would do that to you, but what goes around comes around...he will get his!

Id love to find a clovis piece let alone a whole one, most of my sites are archaic or woodland though...but im not complaining

We are definitely lucky to live in such an artifact rich state

You will get lucky again if you persist.

I feel lucky when I get out in an isolated area on a nice day and have a chance to feel like I'm part of the natural world. I don't feel that way most of the time working and chasing a dollar. Finding any relic is icing on the cake.

It is surprising how commonly this pursuit can bring out the worst in some people. How can you enjoy having something that you have stolen?
I have to fight the urge to covet, probably like most people. I guess it is human nature, but how in the world do people steal without concern?

Giving something to someone sure feels a whole lot better than taking something from them.
