Nice Finds!
The little Scallorn is sweet.
On the other one,,,Darl has so many different slight variations to them,But all have "Classic Darl Knapping.Having said That. The knapping is Key to IDing this.Hell Gap/Thrall are a Bit Bigger and not such a concave base.
My Guess,,,, Archaic Knife////c

The bird point was found very sahllow about 6 in. deep. Sorry about the pic quality. The shape of this point is what leads me to think it may be older. The flaking is not any fancy paleo stuff for sure. The oldest point from this camp is a plainview. this point is 1 1/2" long and 3/4" wide and the base is lightly ground. Thanks

LOL,,,
Rockit.I am seeing some Collateral Flaking to a Medial Ridge.
The point I was trying to Make is That Darl Blades are Woodland Period,But they do not show Typical Woodland period Flaking,(Random Direct Strikes). They also will have Fine Secondary Flaking on the blade edges. This one does not.
Believe you me,,Trying to type points from Pictures is Tough.Thats why I try to tell everyone the Knapping is key and should be steadily Studied,,Steadily Studied/////c

Looks Trans Paleo/Archiac to me! Heavily resharpened of course! Tough one, clearer pics of flaking might help! Nice Scallorn by the way! We find Paleo and birdies in sane sift loads in sand! Not a big indicator of time frames!
