1st post. It's a nice one

Hi, guys. I've been looking at the forum for a while but I have just become a member. I now have some things to offer for show. I am amateur and have only in the last year or so been finding some good artifacts. I read alot about them, but many I find do not fit into the classifications I see. Or maybe they do and I'm not versed enough. This is the best one I have found to date. What do ya'll think? Any ideas on date or type? It was found in Saucier MS. That is about 25 miles from the coast in SE Mississippi. Thanks for all the good stuff ya'll put up all the time. I really enjoy it.

Schweeet. Looks like a Kirk Serrated Knife to me. I believe one of the first truly stemmed points. 5500BC
I'm not from your locale..... Nice other knife!

Awesome point, and good looking chert there Sydbrn329.
Welcome to the forum, and good to see some more hunters from the Gulf South.
Looking forward to seeing some more of your finds, and good luck out there.

Welcome aboard, nice find. My guess is either a Pickwick or Ledbetter on type. I'm pretty sure they are related or from the same culture. Jmo.

Pickwick

Ledbetter
