My farewell great basin for awhile

Well I made a post a few days ago, and mentioned that i would try and post most my finds from around the north great basin, as im now gonna start a texas collection. This is most all my points, good and bad, I keep most everything as I like to keep records of areas, and i have found missing pieces to brokes before. I will try and get out some of my hardstone later

I just hope to some day have an impressive collection like others here, and all this has really just developed more into a passion, I like the study of pieces, sites, typology, and am keeping notes and records of all of it. I am very seriously considering trying to make a career of this in the future, I think there should be more archaeologists who appreciate and understand private collectors, amateurs, as there is a lot more to learn, and those who are self taught, or with beginnings like us make some of the best. The taboo of it in the far west needs to go away I think.

Great looking Great Basin artifacts soldier. I really like the way you have them displayed as well. Very nice looking arrangements in the trays.

If you are looking for Texas pieces you need to contact Indianasmith on here. He has some killer Perds at the moment and will surely give you good deals on them.

Also, try this link. Bill gives some unbelievable deals and has some very nice Texas artifacts. I have bought several off of Bill and have been completely sastified every time. He has both high end and low end artifacts.

Impressive farewell. Looks like you have been collecting from some rather rich areas. Exceptional wide mix of styles and time frames. I scoped em out with my magnifying glass! Thanks for the opportunity to see. Those TX artifacts are up against some tuff competition within these frames. Amen to your 'taboo' remark, and best of luck to you in all your future endeavors.

texas

Man were switching places, I just left texas for portland. Your headed to the right state for collecting. I have been digging there for about 10 years and I might have left a few for you. Good luck.
