Southeast WV Site Frame

Put this frame together recently. It's the better points I've found over the last four years on a field in se WV. The majority is archaic types but there is some earlier and later components in the area as well. Most of the material is Hillsdale chert, a light to dark gray material that can look pretty similar to hornstone. The black material is likely Kanawha or some other local dark chert. There's a natural salt lick and many natural springs in the area that brought in the big game in prehistoric times and it seems this spot was occupied by many cultures. Supposed to be in the 50's the next few days and I can't wait to hit it for the first time this year. Thanks for looking, HH.

A great grouping of points there ghost. And all from one site even! That's a site very much worth the drive to get to. And also definitely worth getting excited about for a hunt. Best of luck to ya this weekend.

nice site collection those are sweet, so what kind of odd ball points are you finding ? like from distant places that dont belong there ?any? one of the ways i bait my trail cams is with salt , those deer can smell it and always find it, a salt lick would bring them in for miles and the hunters also i imagine, good looking stuff
