lithic material

I was going through a box of larger pieces of lithic material and I thought of a a Adena point I found last year that looked a lot like a big piece in the box. I'll let you decide. Thought some might be interested. Lou

I can sure see where you are coming from on that one. Great mix in the banding in that point.

Really nice way to display the lithics in relation to a point. For guys like me, who are still trying to learn and wrap our head around the different lithics, photos like that with the material lbeled are worth a thousand words. Would like to see more. Thanks.

Good to see some nice replies. Highseirra-that is some cool material you have there! Mr. Looney-I took a look at Boone chert and the mottling does look similiar; Ghost- it does look like Delaware chert, I understand Delaware chert usually didn't travel very far from the source, this piece was found 80 miles away. Also the point and chunk were found in the same field. Thanks! Lou
