Well I don't remember when was the first time I hunted maybe when I was five, my dad would take me hunting for rabbits and pigeons with are sling shots, and we would have to look for more ammo for a slings so he find some points and tell me, this is what the Indians used back then to hunt, and when I was growin up and could hunt by my self, I would look at the ground more and more looking for points, I did collect them but not seriously I had them in a tin coffee can, when I was 16 I let a friend borrow my best points to show to some teacher that did not believe there was Indians living in or state, so I never saw thous points again, he clamed he got robed, so I was upset but it wasn't the end of the world, continued hunting for points but never just has a hobby always just found them on my walks hunting quail and rabbits, when 18 I stop hunting for points and birds/rabbits, I was hunting for a girl, when I got married 1994, my wife put all of my points, my hot wheels, my bones (opossum skull) in a black plastic bag and then in a box, we moved to Wa state 1996 and I forgot about all my things, we stop going south for the winter, in 2006 my younger sister found that box in the guess house we live in she offer to bring them to me so she did, and my intrest was fueled again, and in 2008 I traveled to my home town after 12 years of not going there and I started looking for point as a hobby I didn't even carry my old sling shot, and I found this site arrowheadology in 2/18/2009 I'd love it from day on, I have learned allot made my first frame because I learned that was the way to display them, now I have a frame for my younger years 08,09,10,11. I only hunt one month in witer on vacations but it's better the not hunting, and this site is the best in the WWW it keep me interested with all the new finds and storys know I'm 40 and more hooked then ever thanks guys

I'm quite new to collecting, myself. ALWAYS had interest in arifacts but didn't realize how easy it was to actually collect. So I've been actively looking for six months.

Found this site when searching for the laws in Arizona on arrowhead hunting. Things have changed since I did this when I was a kid. Now I want to throw-up, way too much government in our lives. Glad to see they are putting a stop to the grave robbing and digging for profit though.

Hate the fact that out universities ect have over 148 million +/- artifacts that none of us will ever see shoved in their basements and warehouses!

I know, beat a dead horse, yada yada yada. I just wanted to take the kids out to find arrowheads and teach them what isn't being taught in our schools. Our past, our heritage, the "could you imagine".

I do understand the arkies side but come on brother, I havent been able to find anything that the two sides could come to an agreement that could benefit both. I personally know of dozens of sites from being a hunting guide that are untouched. However I am not going to give up any info if only one can play in the sandbox! Hell I don't even want to dig, just preserve what is getting trampled on by cattle.

I know, shut up already..........sorry
