All you new members!

For all of you new members;

First of all, welcome to the forum.

We seem to have a LOT of new people signing up, which is a good thing.

I'm curious to find out if a lot of you are new to the hobby?

Or been collecting but finally found your way here?

Please speak up and let us know! Thanks!

Just stumbled onto a few points over the years, only seriously started in the hobby recently. Love the forum, and enjoy learning from the knowledgeable membership.

I reckon I am a new member as I have been on here for only 4 months. I am 50 years old and have hunted arrowheads and such for about 43 years.

I've been following this website for a couple yrs. I've been seriously hunting for about a few years. I've always been hunting since a teen but never like this now. If I did this when i was a teenager who knows how much trouble I would have NOT gotten into. Also the family rented more land for the dairy cows and my great uncle was alive ( who artifact hunted), I would know sooooooooo much and prob have a lot more points.

Been collecting, hunting, digging and buying for 30 years. Lived in San Antonio 7 years, Bandera, TX. For 10 years, I now reside in Shelby Co. TX going on 11 years. Been on most of the Artifact sites as (relicgrubber or Jon E. Busch) on and off for 12 years. It all started for me when my grandmother gave me my grandfather’s personal finds collection from all over the states. He was a Geologist/Engineer for several Oil Companies…

Started looking around 1990. Tapered off around 99, got back into looking end of 2010. In that time have never quit reading and studying anything I can get my hands on relating to my obsession. First time on a website like this. Didn't know they were out there to be truthful. It is a good thing. It's nice to have a forum where you can chat with other people with the same interest.

Signed up Monday when I found this place on a search for advice for finding artifacts. Been finding them since the mid 1990's as a kid when my parent's moved out to the country around Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I used the forum a day ago asking advice on how to maximize my finds on my parent's land and got great advice. So glad I found this place. Thank you

Nice thread starter Scotto. It's gotten to where I feel like I hardly know anyone here anymore. Maybe the admins could consider inviting new members to offer a short optional bio when they join.

Howdy- I've been here for quite awhile, lurking in the shadows. I love to artifact hunt and have done it for about 40 years, but nothing like the last couple. I'll post more about myself in time on the "bios" page sometime.

The problem I have is no internet at home. Yep. Live in the middle of nowhere (and LOVE it). Hi-speed fiber-optic internet is just over the hill from me, but they just won't bring it my way, and no dial-up is available. So the only internet time I get is while at work and of course here I cannot post pictures. And man, this site and subject matter is all about PICTURES.

Still, I appreciate the site and those who contribute to it. I've learned more here in the last eight months than the whole of the rest of my time collecting. Thanks.

Dale
