Super Thin Sedalia

Wish I had more time to get out and dig like I used to, but glad I got to while I could.

I found this one of my land near Sedalia, Missouri about two years ago, but have not posted it. This is one of the thinnest Sedalias I have and maybe that I have seen. Very atypical as most Sedalias have a thicker cross-section. It measures right at 5" in length.

Same material?

I hope you don't mind me posting this on your thread. This is a Sedalia my Dad found one fall Saturday on a farm in New Franklin, MO in 1970 when I was 7. We lived nearby in Columbia for 6 months before moving back to California. I still remember the tip sticking staright up out of the dirt and he pulled it out. It is 6" on the nose and a thick cross section as you say. I posted this as the material looks identical to your Sedalia. Is it the same? It appears to have fossils in it.

Yours is the finest sedalia I recall seeing on this site.
