Total Contrast off the Sedalia site

I posted a really thin Sedalia off my site. This point is like the exact opposite of that point. Much thicker, yet still with the classic Sedalia shape. I dug this one about 8 years ago. This one measures just at 6".

Nice point, definitely thick compared to the other. I wonder if they were finished with this one?

Still a Big ole killer, monster point!

Hey Steve,,,Do you have an assemblage of tools, etc. from this site?

Just curious, how many Sedalis you reckon you've dug out of this site and how much more digging remains to be dug?

Goodluck

Judging by the stacks on the back, most likely.

Nice find!

I've kept about 75 or 80 of the best Sedalias, 30 or 40 of the best diggers and about the same on the clearfork gouges. I've probably kept about 30-40 eared points. I've dug hundreds and hundreds of lower end Sedalias, diggers, gouges, and tools that I sold on ebay from 2002-2006. I still have buckets of that stuff as I got tired of listing, mailing, etc...

The site is roughly 18 acres of bluff site. I've only dug a strip down about 1/4 of the length of the field down the center anywhere from 5-12 feet wide. There is so much to be dug, I couldn't get to it in my lifetime. The other end of the field has eared points and older points although there are some eared points occasionally on the end that I'm digging.

I just don't have time to dig like I did when I was single and childless!! I still get out there once or twice a month, but I've found that you get one keeper on average about every 2-4 hours of digging.
