Odds and Ends Frame

Here's a frame of pieces that I like but dont really have enough of any particular type to make a seperate frame. So...I chucked them all in one frame. There's an assortment of stuff including a fluted axe, Hopewell pipe, Ramey knife, etc. The hardstone Cahokia disc was pictured in 1953 "Prehistoric Art". I found the hardstone crescent banner in the right corner.

George, that notched hoe is from the old Whelpley collection from Massac County, Illinois at the bottom of the state. It's probably not too far from Arkansaw.

"Odds and Ends" that you "Chucked" into a frame. Uhh, each one of those would make a nice centerpiece to any frame.

It's hard to believe that at some time or another some lucky soul stumbled on to those. That's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Nothing odd about any of those. Exceptional alternatives maybe. Simply amazing specimens, that's for sure.
