just goes to show..

So, me, the old lady and the kid are down at the park here in the city of Austin, its a small park, not to well known, she took me there when we first met,
and we took the kid there today to fish a little. one of the first times i have went i spotted some flakes on the ground, and i told Heather (the old lady)
"theres tool marks on these" she thought that i was just imagining things because all i talk/think about is points..
but i kept telling here "there's points out here!"
we were walking up a heavily worn trail when just a fraction.. i mean a fraction of the side of this is stickn out the dirt.
i knew immediately it was a worked edge.. don't we all? i said "look babe" poped it out.. and sure enough this sweet travis..
love the colors...
so, just goes to show, if its populated now.. it probably was 4000 years ago!..
thanks for reading yall.

her reaction was "DAMN YOU!" hahaha, she was happy, and kinda confused. then i explained.. for the 6th time why there would of been natives out here.. and so on.. then her eyes were glued to the ground.

Maybe just me but that looks older than Travis. Maybe Angostura or somewhere in between?
You're exactly right about people already living in the really good places thousands of years ago.
Good eye,
Dave

it does almost look like an Angostura, i compared to two but what i have seen is that Angosturas mainly come out to a sharper point, not as broad as this.. but i deff. see the in between, if it is as old as that im going out there with a shovel.. cuz it was shallow!
thanks for the reply dave!
hey, do you run texasarrowheads.com? cuz its in my bookmarks!

I have to agree with David. I don't see Travis in the pic.

A good reaction like that is more fun than finding the point itself.

A couple months ago I found the bottom 2/3 of a jacks reef in front of home plate while coaching t-ball, when my wife knew I really wanted to be out hunting. I walked over with that point and she was like WTH, you have a problem!
