In response to the first question, I feel it is necessary for honest people in the artifact collecting community to keep a constant wary eye out for the artifakes and those selling them, papering them as authentic, etc... If you take offense at that then you probably don't fit the aforementioned description.

With that said, it is people like the one selling this particular(modern) piece that make it necessary for the rest of us who choose to purchase relics to spend a LOT of money for authentication. The super fantastically fun hobby would be even much the more so without all the dang fakes. I enjoy flintknapping personally, but always either make them painfully obvious fakes and/or dremel my initials in the piece so there is no question.

As for being punched in the mouth for pointing out the obvious, it wouldn't be the first time. Probably won't be the last. I'll still keep on pointing out the fakes if that is what you consider talking trash. If you find humor in seeing someone get punched, then I believe the user name does indeed fit the user.

Thanks Mods for cleaning the place up a bit. JN
