Some really nice mailbox finds this week!!!
Been doing a little bit of buying lately and got some nice things in this week. First of all, a sweet novaculite point from Louisiana, then a small set of points from Louisiana; a large Arkansas Dalton, a VERY nice San Patrice, and a killer Central Texas knife! I'll give you the story on each:
![]() Here is the whole haul. ![]() ![]() First nice one: a killer novaculite Pogo from Sabine Parish, LA. Love the color!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the best one of the bunch - a super thin 4" Central Texas knife. Philip and I both looked it over and think it is probably Paleo. It does have some characteristics of an Ultra-thin. It is one of the best made Central Texas pieces I have ever handled! ![]() Here is the little Louisiana collection. All are good, but the San Pat (second from left, top row) has had some rechipping done on the base. Why I don't know, it's a perfectly good point otherwise, but somebody took a screwdriver or nail and made that basal concavity much deeper! I hate that! None of the other pieces are rechipped, and there is a nice little Dalton in there. |

Last two
![]() ![]() Another rechip. Blade is good, and somebody got a little crazy and tried to "improve" the base. WHY???? ![]() ![]() This one is a real gem, a St. John's San Pat reworked almost to the drill phase, with some nice burination at the tip. All of these are for sale; if you would like to make an offer or inquire you can contact me via PM. |
