Got some killers for sale this week!!!
I am not doing any EBay listings tonight! Mainly because next weekend is Labor Day and no one is going to be on EBay on Sunday night; they will all be out on the lake partying!
But I do have a dilemma on my hands; I bought a good many artifacts in preparation for the Tulsa show and sold virtually none of the high end pieces. (I sold a ton of $10 - 20 points, but only one piece that went for more than that!) So I am left with a nice supply of very good artifacts, which I added to at the show when there were four bargains I simply could not make myself walk away from. So now my forum brothers have a chance to own some really nice artifacts if they will just speak up for them! Here are two frames of recent additions; I haven't listed any of these on EBay yet - nor have I posted most of them here before! Just ask for prices on the one you like; they will generally be more than I paid but less than what the piece is actually worth. FIRST OFF, there were two KILLER Castrovilles from a large Central Texas collection out of Williamson County that was being liquidated. It was funny to watch - at first most buyers looked at the artifacts and scratched their heads, scared of the very low prices - then they took the points over to the microscope set up on a nearby table and looked them over carefully, and out came the wallets! My purse was too slim to stock up as many as I would have liked, but I was able to get these two pieces without utterly breaking the bank. Now they are yours for the asking! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This nice Big Sandy arrived in the mail the day I left for the show, out of an Illinois collection. ![]() This big Mozarkite Smith point walked in the door and I just could not turn it down! What a scorcher!! It was found in SE Oklahoma and still has some glue on the back where it was once glued to a board. ![]()

That's not all!!!!
This big Harahey variant was in the Illinois collection with the Big Sandy. Killer piece, a few nicks along the blade edge
![]() ![]() This killer point is papered by Perino as a Marshall in 1998, but Matt Rowe and others identified it as a Haskell, a very nice Early Archaic piece, ex. Richard Stevens and Guy Gross . . . extensive documentation available with it! ![]() ![]() This was the other piece that walked in the door, in the same frame as the big Smith - a really nice Early Archaic novaculite drill. Matt Rowe told me the type, but it was one I had not heard of before, and I don't remember it now. ![]() ![]() Two nice Central Texas Angosturas . . . came in the mail Friday. ![]()

And yet more . . .
And a cute little Perdiz that I got in the mail last week . . .
![]() ![]() Five nice little Columbia River gem points, with documentation . . . ![]() Four killer little Darl Stemmed points from Central Texas . . . ![]() A nice East Texas San Patrice . . . ![]() Four authentic Evans points from Louisiana . . . ![]() And last but not least, a KILLER Notch-Based Dovetail out of Kentucky! This is one of the nicest Doves I've owned, and it got scoped by several guys at the show who all pronounced it good. ![]()

Nice looking pieces Lewis, especially that killer Dove. If I hadn't just made an offer of $500 for around 60 Bone Tools from the Cincy area that the guy accepted I would hit you up for that one. But I promised my wife I wouldn't buy anything for a while since she "allowed" me to buy the Bone. It took a lot of whining and begging to get her to agree to let me buy them lol
I'm sure someone will snatch some of those babies up since they all killers.

I hope so. This has been a horrendously expensive summer, and my sales on EBay have been dismal the last few weeks!
I have someone coming over to look at the two Castrovilles on Tuesday. |

I listed a bunch of stuff ending the Sunday before July 4th and the item went through the roof. I had two old circus bronzes which were exactly the same with the exception of one being signed. I listed the nicer and signed one ending on Sunday one week prior to July 4th and it sold for $53. Then I listed the unsigned one that had a few dings to the patina, it ended on the Sunday right before the 4th and it finished at $227. I'd list them on Tuesday with a 5 day auction format, you might be surprised. Here's a link to my Circus Elephants, I paid $4 each.

I nearly always close my stuff out on Sunday night, but the last two weeks have just been awful. Over 30 items listed, many of them quite nice and very reasonable, and NO ONE bidding. I just think the artifact market on EBay is glutted at the moment.

I just think there will be more traffic on eBay next Sunday night considering people don't have to get up early and go to work.

Sorry to hear about that on the MO. Although they do sometimes take longer - I had one guy pay by money order and it was 10 days before I got it, even though he mailed it two days after the auction closed.
As far as EBay goes, generally speaking, I have just had lousy luck on Sunday nights before a Monday holiday. |
