Some nice mailbox candy this week . . . .

Got three packages so far this week, some nice pieces for your perusal and potential purchase, provided payment is promised! (Like that alliteration! ;D)

Here is the whole set:

The first piece is a killer Harahey like knife that I am holding in my hand right now. It is 5" long and was recovered from a field in Whitley County, IN by the fellow I bought it from. One very slight tip nick which shows the original color on the flint beneath. This is a mighty fine artifact that I was lucky to pick up; the seller needed to have better pictures posted!!!!

The next piece is a smoker that I got from a guy who owns a pawn shop in Tulsa, OK. This is a beautiful river polished triangle; looking at the thinning flakes and overall workmanship I am convinced it is a Calf Creek preform just waiting for the notches! Gorgeous material; I forget if this is Foraker or Florence chert, but it's a stone you see a lot of in Oklahoma.

(to be continued)

Mailbox candy continued . . .

Next is a dandy little Dalton, found in McLennan County, TX - appears to be novaculite.

Here is a very nice white Heavy Duty point - it's ground out the wazoo!!!
(Did I see someone wanted to start a Heavy Duty frame?)

This appears to be a Grand. It also appears to have a modernly rechipped tip.

Concluded

Last of all, an interesting blade - it's heavily ground on the base and up both sides for nearly an inch, making me think it might be Paleo despite the rough material.

You know the drill - if you like what you see, make me an offer!!!

No bites?
I'll be listing these on EBay tomorrow night if no one speaks up.
(And that's fine, I just like to give forum brothers first shot!)
