Wanted: Fossil Bison Skull
I'm looking to purchase a fossil bison skull with a horn core spread (tip-to-tip) of 28-inches or more. I'm primarily interested in Bison antiquus and Bison occidentalis. Ideally I'd like to find a complete or nearly complete skull, but I'll consider partials. Thanks.

Here's one I have.
![]() ![]() As you can see, about half of each sheath is present. Outside spread is about 41". Shoot me a PM if this interests you. |

SH, yep, it came from a gold mining operation. I believe it's Alaskensis. It dwarfs the contemporary bison skulls I have and they're very large in their own right.

That's a nice looking skull, Knife River.
It looks like it preserved very well. |
