These are some of my Illinois collection that I hope you might enjoy viewing. My father was born in Dayton/Ottawa, Illinois and started finding his collection at the age of 12. Most of his collection was found in the midwest area of Illinois but I do recall him going out for very long drives all over the state so not sure what other areas they came from. I am not a collector or dealer. It was appraised in 1997 at the time of my fathers death. I have provided the link to where I have begun listing the frames but thought you might be interested in seeing some here also.

Nice looking pieces, but wow dude, $15,000 for that Clovis????

I know those were were your fathers and they have a sentimental value, but that piece is $300 to $500 piece at best.

Illinois Clovis Price

Thanks for looking! I know the Clovis isn't worth $15k.....The website that it is on has an "OBO", OR BEST OFFER, option. There are a few reasons I did that but the ONE reason is that there was someone in Illinois that I will not KNOWINGLY sell too. I felt that if I put it at a normal price, he would have snatched it up. If a collector or someone who just wants it, gives me a fair offer, I have the option to sell it. However, there is already discrepancy as a man here in Georgia looked at it and was willing to give $1700 for it and then others are saying more in the $500-1000 range. So, like I said, I can consider an offer off that website where I have it listed. I hope that clears things up a bit!

better jump on that offer !!!! the economy suxs for selling high end artifacts right now without papers or pedigree or being published just watch the other auction venues and you will see what I'm talking about better to just sit on em for a few years they don't cost nothing to feed em or clothe em or wash em or anything else for that matter.

If you can get $1700 out of a 3 inch Clovis then you better jump on that offer quickly. I'm not trying to knock your point but I have seen bigger and a little better go cheaper.

Illinois Clovis Thanks!

Thank you for your input. I didn't sell the Clovis when I was offered that amount 4 years ago because I didn't know enough and didn't care if I sold or not. As things go, things change, and I would like to get this collection sold to people who will appreciate it. I have owned it since my fathers passing in 1997. I believe that is long enough. And yes, the collection does not require much care but I fear that something will happen to it.....and then it will be lost as a collection in more references than one. Sorry I cannot go into much personal information here. As long as it is on the internet, at least people can see it and I might get an "OBO, OR BEST OFFER in due time. I will be posting much more of this weekend, if not the rest of the collection and hope you will take a look. Thanks!
