Some pictures from the Warren, AR Arrowhead Show Today (LOTSA PICS)

I got a flier from Mike Nichols Auctions with an EBay purchase for a show in Warren, AR this weekend. I enjoy the summer show season, and love traveling through Arkansas, so I decided to reserve some tables and see what it was like. This was the first time this show has been held; it is part of a larger celebration called . . . I kid you not . . . the Pink Tomato Festival! Apparently they grow a lot of 'maters in those parts! Anyway, there were about 40 tables, all filled with flint. Not a lot of walkthrough traffic, but lots of dealers, mainly local, and tons of novaculite and nice Caddo pottery! Here are some pictures:

(My tables, with Mrs. Indy deeply engrossed in GAME OF THRONES, by George R.R. Martin)

All recovered in ONE cache, if you can believe it! And that's only half of them!

now THAT's a Redstone!!!

They find a few Daltons in Arkansas, I hear.

Some of them have TEETH!!

I love the dog head on this effigy pot.

Even more . ..

All these beads recovered in one cache.

I was the proud owner of this Caddo pot for about 30 minutes. Then someone walked by who wanted it more than I did.

And we even got to see a hot air balloon regatta on the way home!!!

Great pictures Lewis. I was wondering about the Bead Cache myself. Quite a few look like modern dogs species. That's a little strange.

Also, funny you should mention Game Of Thrones. My son just turned me on to the HBO series after he downloaded the first 9 episodes and we watched them all Thursday and Friday. I am hooked now. What an awesome series. If you are into the Middle Ages then this is a must see. My son read all the books and loved them but I'll just stick to the shows.
