need help, computer illiterate!!

ok i figured out how to get a profile pic, avatar, and uploading pics on a thread, but cant figure out how to upload pics to a previous thread that i don't have pics on..when i go to where it says post reply, their is no little paper clip icon like their is when u start a thread??? and was also wondering if u can delete a post?? and, also, (sorry) when i use the smiles icon, it doesn't show the face. for example, i tried to put the cunfused one and it spelt it out. does it turn into the face when u submit ???

As far as the paper clip, if you answer in quick reply, at the bottom use "Go Advanced" and you should find the symbol. If you use "Post Reply" which is actually in the last post, the clip comes up there too.
