Posting iPhone/iTouch pics.

Don't know if this has already been addressed but a new member was asking and I always wanted to know how myself (iTouch).

1) Download the free app Photobucket.

2) Set up a new Photobucket account in the app.

3) In app settings turn off geotagging and set resolution to 640x640 or 320x320. I STRESS disabling the Geotagging feature. Don't want to give the GPS location of your Insitu's do you!?!?!

4) Upload pics from your iPhone/iTouch camera roll to your Photobucket gallery.

5) Open the pic you want to post in your photobucket gallery and click on the "i" (information) icon. Tap the button to copy the "IMG" link.

6) Paste the IMG tag in your Arrowheadology post...

Done!

Sample... posted from my iTouch at 640x640 resolution:

How it works:

Instead of uploading pics to the Arrowheadology server, your pics are uploaded from the Photobucket app to your Photobucket gallery online (Photobucket server).

Arrowheadology supports the IMG tag (image tag). You are posting an image link...

iPhone/iTouch video...

Video:

1) Open the Photobucket app.

2) Tap "Upload Media"

3) Tap "Choose Camera". Once camera is open, toggle to video mode.

4) Shoot your video and tap the stop recording button. Tap "Use".

5) Video automatically uploads to your Photobucket gallery.

6) Open your photo gallery in the app, click on your new video, and click on "i".

7) Copy the line thats says "Direct Link" and paste in your Arrowheadology post.

Sample:

*Note* This may prompt a normal PC user to download the file. I dont think you can embed it like YouTube videos... Yet .

Hey I went through all the directions with PHOTOBUCKET but I'm using an Android phone. Whenever I paste the link it says invalid file name.

Not sure about Android. Does it have a dedicated photobucket app?

Are you copying "IMG Code" ?

The link you post here should look something like this:

[I M G ]http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g371/Mud_Hawk/808ba362.jpg[ / I M G ]

(I added spaces in the IMG tag above so the pic wouldn't show and you can see the full line of code.)
