Wow, in one short month, we have achieved more than 25% of our donation goal for 2010! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

The "owners" of this site (Shannon and Ed) have spent a lot of money and time to get this site where it is today (my God!, actual archeologists and academic scholars call this place home!). Of course, this isn’t our site... it is YOUR site!

And we are doing great things collectively! Bottom line: you guys rock!!! Seriously, we LOVE you.

As such, we are putting our own money on the line to move this site forward! ONCE WE HIt 35% WE WILL BEGIN THE UPGRADE PROCESS!

Specifically, once we hit 35% of our donation goal, we will "float" the additional costs and take arrowheadology to version 2.0! It is going to, no pun intended, rock!

So here is the budget as it stands (by the way, if you can offer any of these services, contact us!):

US Government Tax: ~$3000 (tax rules require that we pay tax on every transaction, and this is conservative on the $10k goal)

paypal fees: ~$290 paypal fee for our collective transactions (what? you think paypal is free!)

Dedicated server: $2508 per year ($209 per month)

Software licensing: upgraded forum is already PAID, but add-ons (IM, shop,. etc) are ~$770 per year This is going to go up as we add new functionality.

Coding fees (porting current forum and custom code etc): $2500+

Site maintenance: $1200 ($100 per month for help managing new user applications, database clean-up and administration assistance, etc).
