Rep Power 1-5: What Does it All Mean?

I've noticed that the admin's of the site have very hight "Rep" #'s & that the majority of the readers have low "Rep" 3's. I assume that with over 500 posts a person gain's admission to the "Great Room" as a priviledge, which is private. What happens when a person get's to a "Rep" 2, 3, or 4 & how do they get there? Is there any credit for those users that post points to the Typeology Section or other sections?

I haven't paid much attention to the Rep Power #. I think you have to do something bad to not have a 1 but I'm really not sure. I have had a #1 since my very first post I think.
BTW, I have well over 500 posts and I do not have access to anything more than you. I haven't asked but the "Great Room" is off limits to me too.

Mojave,

We'll get you fixed up next week. Resident Arrowheadology technical guru (Big Ed) is out of range this week and provide access for you upon his return. He did this for Manoman prior to his departure.

Silver,

As for the Rep Power....I'm going to defer to Big Ed as well. Mojave is right but I am unsure of the details on the different levels, how it automatically updates, etc.

Shannon

It is a way to reward or penalize your fellow arrowheadologists. It's like giving them a thumbs up or down on a great or poor post. It has no impact on their abilities on the board, but is a way to have fun, get involved, and let the community manage itself. There are many different rep levels and ways to gain rep power. Those are for you all to discover! The scales of justice above each post are the key to it all...

Do you see the scales of justice above each post in the blue bar toward the upper right side?

beats the heck out of me. I tried to cancel out of the scale thing you asked me about.

I see I have a "Rep Power" of 17. If I sort all users by "Reputation" I am at the top followed by Manoman, Silverback, you, followed by Kent, Henry, RiverRat, etc.
Im not sure what it all means but I don't have access to the Tribal Council.

Now it says:

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Big Ed again.

I guess you lose dude!
